Snow will continue Sunday evening in much of southern and central Minnesota.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's North American Mesoscale forecast model shows the potential snow pattern Sunday evening through Monday morning:
The color chart to the right of the loop refers to the strength of the signal that returns to the radar, not to the amount of snow.
Southern Minnesota could see two to four additional inches of snow Sunday evening, then the snow tapers off overnight.
The Twin Cities metro area could see around one inch of snow accumulate on grassy areas Sunday evening. A few roads could become slushy as the temperature drops.

...SNOW CONTINUES THROUGH THE EVENING...
.A Winter Weather Advisory continues for portions of west central,
southwest, and south central Minnesota through tonight, mainly
southwest of a line from Alexandria, to Winsted, Faribault, and
Zumbrota.
Snow has already spread over west central, southwest, and south
central Minnesota. The heaviest, and more steadier snowfall will
continue in southwest, and south central Minnesota through the
remainder of the afternoon. This area will have the worst
conditions in terms of impact as temperatures begin to fall and
ice builds on the area roads. Further to the east, snowfall will
continue to be less, but once the sun begins to set, some
accumulations will occur on roadways. Snowfall amounts in the
advisory area will range from 3 to 5 inches.

northeast Iowa...
.Through 6 PM, snow will continue to move east across southeast
Minnesota and northeast Iowa. A total snow accumulations of 2 to
4 inches are expected. The highest totals will be along west of
Highway 218.
Plan on some slippery roads west of Highway 63 late this
afternoon and across much of southeast Minnesota and northeast
Iowa tonight. This snow may impact the Monday morning commute.
In addition, snow may reduce visibilities to a half mile or less
at times west of Highway 218.

Warmer temps this week
Minnesota highs rebound a bit on Monday, with some upper 30s in the east:
It gets even warmer on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Twin Cities metro area will see highs in the lower 40s Tuesday, around 50 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday, then upper 40s on Friday

According to mlb.com, the 27 degree reading at the start of the Minnesota Twins game on Saturday was the coldest in Twins history:
The temperature at first pitch was 27 degrees, breaking the previous Twins record of 31 degrees, set on April 17, 2014.
