A squall line packing strong to severe storms is racing east across Minnesota and Wisconsin as expected. Here's the modeled timing of the line via NOAA High Resolution Rapid Refresh model.
NOAA's Storm Prediction Center posted a severe thunderstorm watch until 5 am for much of eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin. The watch includes most of the Twin Cities metro area. This image shows the watch zone and radar detected squall line at around 1:45 am CDT.

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
East-central Minnesota
Northwest Wisconsin
* Effective this Wednesday morning from 120 AM until 500 AM CDT.
* Primary threats include...
Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible
Isolated large hail events to 1 inch in diameter possible
SUMMARY...Line of strong to severe storms will progress east across
the Saint Croix Valley, likely weakening towards daybreak.
This squall line has a history of 60+ mph winds gusts, hail and torrential rains as it races quickly east. Stay alert for possible warnings overnight. The line will move quickly east of the Twin Cities this morning, and sun will return this afternoon.
