The Senate's main committee for dealing with health care matters will start new hearings this week with Congress's return to Washington.
Their hope is to stabilize the market.
At the moment, President Trump's health care plans have stalled. Trump has threatened to stop what he calls a "bailout of insurance companies." This refers to the administration stopping payments to health insurers to help to provide cover to lower-income customers.
So how will this play out for low-income families and insurers? Julie Rovner, chief Washington correspondent at Kaiser Health News, joined to show to discuss.
