The U.S. Supreme Court has decided to hear arguments later this year on whether President Trump's travel ban should stand. They also have allowed parts of the ban to take effect. What is the current status of the ban?

The U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments in October on whether the president's travel ban will stand.  Trump issued an executive order in March that suspended the U.S. refugee program for 4 months, and restricted travel from 6 majority-Muslim countries. The ban has been on hold in the interim because two federal appellate courts blocked it. Monday--the Court permitted part of the travel ban to be implemented and blocked another part of it. Two experts discussed what the Court said and what it's decision to hear the case means.
