A quick update on storm conditions this afternoon.
A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect south of the Twin Cities. Severe storms with a history of 60 mph winds and hail track mostly just south and east of the Twin Cities. Garden variety storms and rain cover the Twin Cities through late afternoon.
Most models suggest a drier evening across the Twin Cities with heavier storms pushing east through southern Wisconsin. The atmosphere over Iowa and southern Wisconsin is ripe for severe storms. More bow echos heading for Madison, Milwaukee and Des Moines tonight? NOAA's NAM 3 km model thinks so.
The Minnesota Twins will likely get the game in tonight if forecasts stay on track. The Twin Cities best chance for severe storms still looks to be late tomorrow night.
