Former Chanhassen High School principal Timothy Dorway pleaded guilty on Thursday to seven counts of possession of child pornography in a deal that will require him to serve a five-year sentence.
Dorway was arrested in December at his home in Victoria. Authorities said the arrest came after executing search warrants at Dorway's home and at Chanhassen High School. He was fired from his Chanhassen High job in January.
The plea agreement laid out Thursday requires Dorway to serve a 60-month prison sentence. He's expected to serve 40 months in prison and 20 months on supervised release, according to the Carver County Attorney's Office. A sentencing hearing is set for July 26.
