The installation of the sculpture "Scaffold" at the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden has drawn much criticism, even delaying the garden's reopening.
Many people want it controversial piece down, as it's depicts a combination of different gallows used in executions in American history, including the execution of 38 Dakota men during the Civil War in Mankato, Minn.
Kate Beane, a Dakota outreach and program manager for Native American Initiatives team at the Minnesota Historical Society, discussed the kinds of things the Dakota community might consider for the installation at the Sculpture Garden, which the Walker Art Center over the weekend said would come down.
