The next U.S. Census isn't until 2020, but a group of Minnesotans is working to make sure we don't lose sight of that event now.
Joan Naymark, executive director of MACS 2020 (Minnesotans for the American Community Survey and 2020 Census), told MPR News host Tom Weber why she thinks planning for the Census must begin soon and why her group is pushing for state funds three years ahead of time.
She also discussed how Census numbers affect average Minnesotans' lives and her thoughts on the recent prediction that Minnesota will lose a seat in Congress after the next count.
