A police K-9 died after helping with a high-risk traffic stop in Forest Lake late Tuesday night.
Police say Ranger was deployed after the person inside the car refused to follow orders. That individual was arrested, police said in a statement.
Ranger suffered a medical emergency immediately following the incident and was taken to the University of Minnesota Veterinary Hospital. Attempts to resuscitate Ranger were unsuccessful.
