When the Minneapolis Institute of Art unveiled its Martin Luther exhibit, they anticipated an eager audience of Minnesota Lutherans and weren't disappointed. People have been flocking to "Martin Luther: Art and the Reformation" and pouring over 250 objects including handwritten letters and other documents.
The exhibit will be available until January 15 and came to be available through unique circumstances.
According to Tom Rassieur, curator of prints, the collection has traveled outside its home in Germany because they're prepping for the 500-year anniversary of the Lutheran Reformation. He said it's a "once in a lifetime opportunity."
MPR News reporter Euan Kerr spoke with Rassieur about the exhibit and why he thinks it's resonated so deeply with the museum's patrons.
