Today's Morning Edition music is from Albert Lea native Eddie Cochran with "Twenty Flight Rock."
His performance of the song was featured in the film "The Girl Can't Help It" which was released 60 years ago today.
Cochran, Little Richard, Gene Vincent and other early rock stars performed in the film which starred Jayne Mansfield. It made a big impression on 16-year-old John Lennon when it played in Liverpool.
And when Paul McCartney tried out for Lennon's skiffle group the Quarrymen in 1957, he played this song and imitated Cochran's performance in the film.
