In the mid 70's when radical groups and terrorists were bombing buildings, hijacking planes and robbing banks, Americans watched the hunt for Patty Hearst, the 19-year-old granddaughter of wealthy newspaper publisher William Randolph Hearst, as the victim of a kidnapping, and then as a wanted criminal and converted radical re-christened 'Tania.'
Jeffrey Toobin spoke with MPR's Kerri Miller about his latest book on the subject, "American Heiress: The Wild Saga of the Kidnapping, Crimes and Trial of Patty Hearst."
The "Thread Live" event was held September 28, 2016 at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis.
