The girl, Cristal Mariel Oliva Aguilar, was described as wearing purple pants and a brown and black jacket. "There are grave safety concerns" for the girl, the Anoka County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.

Soto-Lopez is not related to the child, the sheriff's office added.

Soto-Lopez was last seen walking away from an address on the 2000 block of Todd Drive in Arden Hills at about 9:30 a.m., according to the sheriff's office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.

Officials said all of the vehicles Soto-Lopez had access to have been accounted for, so there's no specific vehicle description.

Soto-Lopez is being sought for questioning in that death of a child at the Blaine Medical Center. Blaine police were called to the hospital Tuesday morning about an unresponsive 21-month old male child, the sheriff's office said. Lifesaving efforts failed.

"The child's mother was also at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation," which is focused on an apartment in the 1500 block of 87th Avenue NE in Blaine, the sheriff's office said.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Aguilar or Soto-Lopez should contact the Anoka County Sheriff's Office at 763-427-1212 or dial 911.
