Minneapolis police say they've arrested a 17-year-old boy suspected in a double-homicide near a park that left a baby and a 20-year-man dead.

A police statement says the suspect was booked into the Hennepin County juvenile jail early Tuesday on suspicion of murder. Charges are pending. Further details on the arrest were not immediately released.

Seven-month-old Jayden Eric Redden and 20-year-old Gustav Duane Christianson II were fatally shot Sunday afternoon in the back seat of a car parked near Stewart Park in south Minneapolis. Christianson died at the scene. Jayden died at nearby Children's Hospital.

At the time, police said they believed Christianson was the intended target.

Christianson's sister said he was a former gang member with a group called the Native Mob.
