John Linc Stine, the commissioner of the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA), announced the formation of a grassroots level Environmental Justice Advisory Group to provide recommendations which will help MPCA integrate environmental justice principles into all the agency's work.
Joan Vanhala, of the Alliance for Metropolitan Stability,Lea Foushee, of the North American Water Office, and Sarah Goodspeed, of the Center for Earth, Energy and Democracy, are all members of the newly formed group and talked about what environmental justice is and why it's needed.
