Terence Crutcher died after being fatally shot by police officers in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Friday. Four days later, officers in Charlotte, North Carolina fatally shot Keith Lamont Scott.
Both men were black. Crutcher was unarmed. Officers in North Carolina said that Scott was armed. His family says he was not. Professor and former Gainesville Police officer David Thomas joined MPR News with Kerri Miller to talk about the investigations of both shootings and about the state of race and policing in America.
