A low pressure system moves through on Friday, and we could see scattered showers and thunderstorms.
The National Weather Service North American Mesoscale forecast model shows the showers and thunderstorms moving over parts of Minnesota later tonight and Friday:
Scattered garden-variety thunderstorms are expected on Friday, but the Storm Prediction Center of the National Weather Service shows a marginal risk of severe thunderstorms Friday over southeastern Minnesota:
A marginal risk means that an isolated severe thunderstorm is possible
