Today's Morning Edition music is from the Travelin' McCoury's playing the song "Cumberland Blues."

They're on stage later today for two shows, one this afternoon, and one this evening, at the 40th annual Minnesota Bluegrass and Old-Time Music Festival in Richmond, Minnesota.

The band is led by Ronnie and Rob McCoury who are sons of bluegrass legend Del McCoury.

The sons say they're taking their music in a new direction, that they want to make something fresh and rejuvenating.
