Deluge: Flash flood warnings cover Twin Cities

Flash flood warnings are in effect for basically the entire Twin Cities metro area. Rainfall rates of 2"+ per hour will cause localized flooding overnight. A flash flood watch remains in effect into Thursday morning.

SOUTHEASTERN HENNEPIN COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL MINNESOTA...

SCOTT COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL MINNESOTA...

DAKOTA COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL MINNESOTA...

* AT 843 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING

HEAVY RAIN ACROSS THE WARNED AREA. THESE STORMS HAVE HAD A HISTORY

OF PRODUCING 2 TO 4 INCHES OF RAIN IN LESS THAN 90 MINUTES. FLASH

FLOODING IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN SHORTLY.
