Law enforcement and protest leaders are criticizing the violent actions of some after this weekend's unrest on Interstate 94 and elsewhere in St. Paul.

Nearly two dozen officers were injured and more than 100 people arrested.

The incidents stemmed from ongoing protests over the death of Philando Castile, an African-American man shot in Falcon Heights by a police officer last week.

Both sides say the violence late Saturday and early Sunday was a troubling turn.

MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman about the situation.
