Minneapolis police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened Monday afternoon on the city's north side.
At around 3:30 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting on the 1400 block of Morgan Avenue North.
A male victim had been critically injured, and was transported to Hennepin County Medical center, where he died about an hour later.
Minneapolis Police Department spokesperson John Elder said officers found a handgun at the scene and detained a suspect for questioning. No charges have been filed.
Police say the two people involved in the incident knew each other.
The victim's identity and official cause of death will be released by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office.
