The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) has issued a few air quality warnings already for 2016, which means that pollution levels in the air are increased to such a point that sensitive groups may have trouble breathing. Even people who are otherwise healthy may experience difficulty breathing during the warning periods.
MPR News host Tom Weber talked with Daniel Dix, meteorologist with the MPCA, and Jean Johnson, manager of the Environmental Public Health Tracking Program at the Minnesota Department of Health.
