SUMMARY...RELATIVELY ISOLATED STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS MAY CONTINUE TO INCREASE IN COVERAGE ESPECIALLY ACROSS SOUTHWEST/SOUTH-CENTRAL MINNESOTA OVER THE NEXT FEW HOURS...WITH ADDITIONAL DEVELOPMENT ANTICIPATED LATER THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING ACROSS EASTERN SOUTH DAKOTA/NORTHWEST IOWA. WHILE VERTICAL SHEAR IS WEAK...STEEP LAPSE RATES AND STRONG INSTABILITY WILL SUPPORT AT LEAST SOME POTENTIAL FOR DAMAGING WINDS AND HAIL.
We'll have to watch the eastern progress of storms, but more stable air near the Twin Cities will likely limit storms in the Twin Cities metro core through this evening.
