Federal officials on Wednesday will announce the results of a civil rights investigation into the death of Jamar Clark last year.

The Justice Department will say whether two Minneapolis police officers violated Clark's civil rights when he was fatally shot last November.

Earlier this year, Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman announced there was insufficient evidence to press charges against the officers involved. That decision was met with protests similar to what was seen following police shootings elsewhere in the country.

MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with Simone Weischelbaum, a reporter with the Marshall Project, a nonprofit news organization that covers the criminal justice system, about what to expect.
