"Fargo" may not be returning until 2017, but the first official details about the third season were just released.

, Ewan McGregor will play not one but two roles in the FX television adaptation of the Coen brothers' film. McGregor will star as Emmit and Ray Stussy — brothers, but not twins, at the center of the story.

McGregor is best known for his role in "Star Wars" and his breakthrough role in "Trainspotting." He hails from Scotland, making him the latest in a string of actors from the U.K. to put on their best Minnesota accents for the franchise. Martin Freeman, an English actor, played Lester Nygaard in season one.

Noah Hawley, the creator of the "Fargo" television show, has 

said previously that the new season would be set in 2010
