A low pressure system moving eastward from South Dakota will give us periods of rain and a few thunderstorms this evening and overnight.
Severe weather possible
The Storm Prediction Center of the National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch until 10pm this Sunday evening for southwestern Minnesota:
The main severe weather threats will be large hail and damaging thunderstorm winds.

Over the remainder of southern Minnesota, including the Twin Cities, the Storm Prediction Center indicates a marginal risk of severe weather this evening and overnight:

The low pressure system slowly pulls away tomorrow, but showers will linger over much of Minnesota:
Highs on Monday will be cool over much of Minnesota:
Once again, northern Minnesota will see a lot of 40s. Some spots near Lake Superior might stay in the upper 30s.

Highs will be in the 50s much of this week:
Our average high this time of year in the Twin Cities is in the lower 60s.
