This Earth Day will bring us near normal temperatures, with increasing sunshine by afternoon.
Highs will be in the 50s over much of northern Minnesota, lower 60s over the south:
Winds coming in off of Lake Superior will limit highs to the 40s along the north shore.

A low pressure system moves closer this weekend, bringing us southerly breezes and an increasing chance of showers and thunderstorms Saturday night and Sunday:
Highs Saturday will be in the 70s over southern and central Minnesota, mostly 60s and 50s over the north:
Some spots near Lake Superior could see highs in the 40s.
Sunday severe weather risk
The Storm Prediction Center of the National Weather Service indicates a slight risk of severe thunderstorms for southwestern and central Iowa on Sunday and Sunday night:
General thunderstorms are indicated over much of Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Cool week ahead
Showers will linger into Monday, and will return on Wednesday. Highs will be in the cool 50s Monday through Thursday:
Our average high this time of year is in the lower 60s.
