The next time you visit the doctor, you may get to see everything they have to say about you.
It's common to get invites from doctors or insurance companies to take a look at your patient portal to track your appointments, procedures and lab results.
But there's a new movement proposing that doctors also open their personal notes so patients can read what they have to say about their individual health.
The record-sharing philosophy is called OpenNotes.
MPR News resident medical analyst Dr. Jon Hallberg talked with All Things Considered about exactly what doctors put in their notes, and some of the pros and cons of sharing them with patients.
