Twin Cities temps will run a bit below normal this week, but they rebound on Saturday. One forecast model shows highs poking into the 60s on Saturday. That would be good timing!

We are expecting some rain at times on Tuesday and Wednesday, and we might see a few wet flakes early Tuesday and late Wednesday.

Months of warm weather

March 2016 was the fifth warmest March in Twin Cities history, based on weather records that go back to 1873.  Our warmest March was just four years ago.

Starting in September 2015, every month has been warmer than normal in the Twin Cities. Here is the list, along with departure from normal for each month:

September 2015    +5.9 degrees

October 2015         +3.2

November 2015     +7.6

December 2015    +10.5

January 2016         +2.0

February 2016       +4.0

March 2016            +8.5

We'll see if the streak continues in April.

I hope that you enjoy your Sunday!
