Some sun Sunday afternoon, warmer to start the week

Our Sunday morning showers will move on, and we'll see decreasing clouds and some afternoon sun. Sunset this evening is 735pm, so we"ll have a few hours to  enjoy the sunshine.

Highs today will be mainly in the 40s, but we could touch 50 in the Twin Cities:

Wet Wednesday, followed by cooler temps

Many spots in southern Minnesota could hit 60 on Tuesday, especially if the late day clouds and scattered showers are delayed. There is a good chance of showers on Wednesday, with a thunderstorm also possible:

On Thursday we'll see cooler highs and a chance of rain showers and snow showers.

Our official March snowfall total at Minneapolis-St. Paul International airport stands at 5.4 inches.  We're likely to finish this month well below our 30 year March average of 10.3 inches.

For this 2015-2016 snow season we have seen 36.2 inches of snow at Minneapolis-St. Paul International airport. That puts us 14.8 inches below normal for this point in our snow season.
