Our Friday starts out with filtered sunshine, but clouds will thicken this afternoon. Highs will be in the 40s in most spots:
Scattered showers are possible over western and northern Minnesota today, possibly mixed with a few snowflakes. Showers could arrive in the Twin Cities this evening.

Wet Saturday
A low pressure system brings rain showers and snow showers tonight and Saturday:
The best chance of an inch or more of snow in Minnesota appears to be north of a Morris to Hinckley line. In the Twin Cities, we expect mostly rain tonight and Saturday, with a few wet flakes possible at times.
Dry Easter
High pressure moves closer on Sunday, so we expect plenty of sunshine over Minnesota. Highs will be slightly above normal:
50s return
The extended forecast includes highs in the 50s Monday through Wednesday:
We could even touch 60 degrees on Tuesday! Showers are likely on Wednesday, and we could see and hear a thunderstorm. That's a sure sign of Spring!
European forecast model vs GFS
Updraft this week noted the differences in snow forecasts between the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts model and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Global Forecast System model.
