Remember a few months ago when the governor wanted to have a special legislative session to help the Mille Lacs area because of the decline of the walleye fishery? The issue is in the news again. Here's the Digest.

1. The DNR said Monday that for the first time walleye anglers on Lake Mille Lacs are not allowed to use live bait, and they will be allowed only to catch and release fish. And even with catch-and release only, the DNR might still have to end the walleye season early again. (MPR News)
