Today's Morning Edition music is from "Don't Give Up on Me" by Lissie from her new album "My Wild West."

It's the album of the week on our sister station, The Current. Lissie grew up in Rock Island, Ill., before moving to California.

Recently, she decided to bring her home base back to the Midwest and purchased a farm in Iowa.

In his review, The Current's Brian Oake called it "a beautiful album."

"This is the sound of experience and sacrifice. This is the sound of growing up, and all the brilliance and brutality that that process entails. This is a wonderfully real story, and it's expertly told," he said.
