Today's Morning Edition music is from singer and mandolin player Sierra Hull with "Black River," a track from her new album "Weighted Mind."

She will be performing Friday night at the Dakota Jazz Club in Minneapolis.

Hull is a bit of a bluegrass prodigy. She was signed by Rounder Records at the age of 13. She's 24 now and "Weighted Mind" is her fourth album. It was produced by 15-time Grammy winner Béla Fleck.

Alison Krauss also sings on the record. Krauss had this to say about Hull: "I think she's endless. I don't see any boundaries. Talent like hers is so rare, and I don't think it stops. It's round."
