Today's Morning Edition music is from the soundtrack to the animated film "The Triplets of Belleville," which was nominated for an Academy Award in 2003.
Using pantomime and song, the film tells the story of a woman who goes on a quest to rescue her grandson, a Tour de France cyclist who has been kidnapped by the French mafia.
The film will be shown Wednesday night at Northrop on the University of Minnesota campus — and it will be accompanied by a live band. Benoît Charest, who composed the score, will lead the eight-piece Le Terrible Orchestre de Belleville.
