A low pressure system moves through Minnesota tomorrow, with some snow and very strong winds expected. The National Weather Service has expanded the blizzard watch to include counties just west of the Twin Cities metro area:
If you are planning to travel in western or south central Minnesota tomorrow or tomorrow night, check for forecast updates and be aware that strong winds could lead to whiteout conditions and closed roads.
In the Twin Cities, we could see a mix of rain and snow late Sunday morning, then periods of snow Sunday afternoon and Sunday night with a couple of inches possible. Winds could gust over 25 mph Sunday afternoon and over 30 mph Sunday night in the Twin Cities.
