The Waseca teen accused of planning a school shooting will stay jailed in Minnesota while he's evaluated for treatment.

John LaDue, 19, was set to go to an autism spectrum facility in Georgia, but the facility did not accept him for reasons never publicly made clear.

He'll remain in the Waseca County jail until a bed opens at a state-operated facility. His attorney Jeff Johnson said once there, LaDue's needs will be assessed.

"We'll follow up with where an appropriate placement or treatment plan will be for him after that assessment," Johnson said.

LaDue was arrested in April 2014 after police found explosives, a gun and a journal that outlined alleged plans to kill his family and classmates.
