Ramsey Lewis to play holiday classics at the Dakota

Today's Morning Edition music is from the celebrated jazz pianist Ramsey Lewis with his take on the holiday classic "Here Comes Santa Claus."

It's from one of two albums of Christmas music that Lewis released in the 1960s.

Lewis and his four-piece band will revisit many of those songs at a special holiday-themed show Thursday night at the Dakota Jazz Club in Minneapolis.

Lewis has won three Grammys and in 2007 earned a National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Masters Award.
