What happens next: The aftermath of the Jamar Clark shooting

As the investigation into and the protests over the shooting of Jamar Clark continue, MPR News' Tom Weber spoke with several individuals about the situation.

MPR News reporter Brandt Williams spoke to conditions outside the Minneapolis Police Department's 4th Precinct, where protests turned tense last night. Williams also spoke to how the current situation compares to other officer-involved shootings we've seen in Minnesota.

Attorney Gregg Corwin has represented several Minneapolis police officers during similar investigations. He does not represent either of the officers involved in the Clark shooting, but he shared his perspective on how investigations like this proceed.

State Rep. Raymond Dehn represents the district where the Clark shooting occurred. In the aftermath of the shooting, he issued a statement saying, "Our community has seen far too many young people involved in tragedies like this. We must all come together to ensure this doesn't happen again."

Minneapolis City Council member Lisa Bender represents Ward 10. The shooting did not occur in her ward, but she was present at the protests outside the precinct last night.
