He'll be performing Thursday at 7th St. Entry in Minneapolis.
Oddisee, whose real name is Amir Mohamed, is the son of a Sudanese father and American mother. He grew up in the United States but spent summers in Khartoum learning Arabic and swimming in the Nile.
He says his favorite producer is Chief Tony from Virginia, Minn.
