The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Minnesota Department of Health are working to raise awareness about antibiotic resistance. Both organizations will mark Get Smart About Antibiotics Week beginning Nov. 16.

Dr. Jon Hallberg spoke with MPR News' Tom Crann about his perspective on the proper use of antibiotics as well as the basics surrounding the drug's chance discovery in the 1930s.
