Mental health workers hope to overcome stigma in Somali community

Kids who have strong community bonds and who are engaged at school are most resilient in resisting violence, according to one expert's research. Here, Abdirizak Bihi, who directs Minnesota's Somali Education and Social Advocacy Center, watched a basketball game at Minneapolis' Currie Park last fall. Bihi is always on the lookout for anyone trying to recruit young Somalis for a terror group.
