Downstairs Attic is a local band made up of high school students based in Andover, Minn.

It were one of 42 high school bands to submit a song for the 4th annual back to school edition of The Local Show, which airs this Sunday at 6 p.m. on our sister station The Current.

It was on that show in previous years where we discovered bands like Hippo Campus and Bomba de Luz. One of the bands that will be featured this year is Bruise Violet: three St. Paul high school girls who take their name from a Babes in Toyland song.
