DFL Congressman Rick Nolan says he’s inclined to support a nuclear deal with Iran but still has some remaining questions. Nolan and DFL Congressman Collin Peterson are the two remaining members of Minnesota’s delegation who are uncommitted on their vote. Nolan, who represents northeastern Minnesota, says the deal may be the best option for the U.S.
“I’m leaning toward supporting it but I’m reserving final judgment here because every day there are new aspects coming out about it,” he said on MPR News with Tom Weber.
Nolan’s comments come as Congress is expected to vote on the deal in September.
Republicans in Congress are nearly unified against the plan but Democratic leaders in Congress say they have enough support to protect President Obama’s veto.
