Six Maplewood firefighters including the chief are on administrative leave after a complaint.
The city is investigating chief Steve Lukin and assistant fire chief Clarence Gervais, as well as firefighter/emergency medical technicians Reid Troxel and Joe Kerska, and firefighter/paramedics Richard Dawson and Mike Streff.
City Manager Melinda Coleman said she's unable to release additional details about the complaint or who filed it. She said data practices laws limit what she can release about personnel issues.
"We need to protect the privacy of our employees during this investigation," Coleman said. She added there may be more information later in the week.
Meanwhile, the FBI continues an investigation of the city's government. Details of that investigation also have not been released.
