Another batch of strong to severe storms arrives in the metro early Friday. The storms produce more severe weather risk as they make the trip southeast along Interstate 94 and eventually into the Twin Cities. Be ready for a loud and potentially severe awakening Friday morning.
The most favored timing on storms for the metro runs in the window between 4 a.m. and 9 a.m. Another bow echo rides southeast along I-94 overnight through Fargo, N.D., Alexandria, Minn., and St. Cloud, Minn. The only question is will it lose enough steam to be sub-severe by the time it reaches the Twin Cities? It's going to be a close call.
