Today's Morning Edition is from Yes in honor of base-playing legend Chris Squire who died of leukemia over the weekend. He was 67.
Squire co-foundered Yes in 1968 and remained a constant band member. "For the entirety of Yes' existence, Chris was the band's linchpin and, in so many ways, the glue that held it together over all these years," the band said in a statement. "Because of his phenomenal bass-playing prowess, Chris influenced countless bassists around the world, including many of today's well-known artists."
Squire also helped write many of the band's best known songs.
