Today's Morning Edition music is from British rapper, poet and novelist Kate Tempest who will be performing Saturday night at the 7th St. Entry in Minneapolis.
The songs on her album "Everybody Down" all revolve around a single storyline, the relationship between two people.
Tempest is turning that story into a novel. She told NPR's Rachel Martin that switching between performing and writing is not easy.
