A quick post after a long day of radar watching. We got off pretty lucky with just minimal damage and hail reports from scattered severe storms Tuesday.
One-day heat wave
The Twin Cities topped out at 92 degrees for the first 90 degree day and hottest so far this year. Several locations in western Minnesota reached 99 degrees.

Wednesday looks spectacular before remnant tropical moisture from Blanca gets caught up in low pressure and streams north Thursday.
The Twin Cities look to ride the edge of heavy rainfall totals to the south. The fuel injection of the tropical moisture pipeline should produce 2 to 3-plus inches of rain straddling the Interstate Hwy. 90 corridor in southern Minnesota and northern Iowa.
