Dozens of guests were evacuated from a Twin Cities area hotel overnight because of some problems with the building's exterior.

Police say a section of cement stucco fell from the exterior of the 14th floor at the La Quinta Inn & Suites in Bloomington about 2 a.m. Monday.

It caused an opening in the side of the high-rise building.

The cement stucco landed on the roof of the lobby below, damaging a water pipe. That caused flooding in the hotel lobby.

Authorities say no one was hurt. All the guests at the La Quinta were relocated to other area hotels.
